Now offering Online Lessons!
My name is Celia Frazer. I am a private piano teacher located in Cameron Park, CA. I have more than 50 years of experience at the piano and have made sharing the joy of piano through teaching my full-time passion for the last seventeen years. I am a member of the Music Teachers' Association of California (mtac.org), and currently serve as President of the Sierra Branch.
Go to About Lessons to learn about the piano lessons I provide in my home in Cameron Park. I have had students from Cameron Park, Shingle Springs, Placerville, Folsom and Sacramento.
In Quarter Notes News you will be able to find information about upcoming recitals, as well as columns from the latest newsletter editions.
From time to time I will have a parent and/or student survey on the Surveys page.
Go the the Practice Corner for practice tips and hints. I have also posted links at the bottom of this page to some practice and ear training web sites.
Congratulations, Certificate of Merit TM Students!
Congratulations to all of the participants for CM 2020! You did a fantastic job! All participating students have now been promoted to the next level. Virtually all qualified for State Honors, and special congratulations go to Yush on earning our more stringent Branch Honors, and being invited to perform at the State Convention.
Several students are in the process of preparing for the 2021 evaluations. It's a great program to help students (and teachers!) track and gauge curriculum progress through steady goal-setting.

I provide private piano lessons in my home, located in Cameron Park near the Goldorado (Bel Air) Center. I'm now offering online lessons with the same curriculum and learning experiences.
I have students ranging in age from four to retirees, and from absolute beginners through advanced level. I accept brand new students as well as transfer students.
In addition to Piano Performance, my lessons include Technique, Theory and Ear Training, all in a friendly and supportive environment.
We have two recitals each year, and there are additional performance opportunities through our Sierra MTAC Branch.
Whether you have children wanting to begin lessons, or are thinking about returning to piano years after studying as a child (or wish you had studied as a child!), call me!

Lessons in a Viral Age
2020 has certainly brought some unexpected changes. The good news is that piano lessons are still going strong -- we have successfully moved to an online format for the time being. I use a great system with two cameras, a quality microphone and a strong ethernet connection to bring everything we have in inperson lessons right into your home. My students use their computers, ipads or phones. This can be an ideal time to make learning piano an important part of your life!
Learning an instrument is a great way "sharpen" our brains, whether adult or child, and is an important part of a well-rounded curriculum for children in school.
There are a limited number of afternoon and evening lesson times currently available. Daytime times are available as well, whether for retired or working at home adults or home-schooled children.
Our Next Recital
Stay tuned for news on when we will be able to schedule our next recital. We typically have two per year.
